This Playseat takes racing games to the next level! WoW where do I begin, This has to be one the of the best driving seats I've used. It folds up nicely and stores quickly. I even took this over to a friends party and they are hooked!! I was totally impressed with Smoke-Tronics shipping time and prices!!! They rock!!!.. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars]

Pros: Very sturdy, comfortable and holds Logitech G25 wheel very well. Been using it for weeks before I wrote the review and I'm a pleased customer. I'm 46 years old, 6 feet tall and 230 pounds. My old desk chair was killing my back when I was racing... now I can have fun without the pain. I strongly suggest the shifter add-on and the seat slider add-on (makes egress much easier). Con.: Price. No discount kit with all the options (chair/shifter/slider). I'm a JEEP TJ driver so I find the chair quite low to the ground. The slider compensates the access/egress procedures. I'm quite satisfied and would recommend this product. Michel..

Hi Smoketronics, I just wanted to let you know I’ve received my Playseat Evolution and got time to set it up last night. It’s great and works as intended for racing games! The shipment came in right on time as schedule by the tracking to Canada. There were no extra charges incurred (as you’ve already charged taxes) so no there were no nasty custom fee surprises at the post office. Pros: 1) Its solidly built and won’t move around too much. It can wobble a little bit from side to side only if you are not sitting in it. 2) Very attractive design just like in the pictures. 3) 3 to 4 options to customize the seat to your liking. Most important is the foot plate can be adjusted to the right so right foot braking is not hindered by the post. Left foot still finds decent room to do clutching. There are Velcro straps included which definitely helps too keep the foot peddles in place (sometimes too much when you want to change racing wheels with the Xbox 360 wheel) 4) Came in a smaller box than I imagined, but quite heavy at over 50 lbs – two people to carry it without dropping is recommended. 5) Fits the Logitech G25 wheel perfectly. The shift holder was a bit cryptic as Playseats company should have mentioned to take out the 4 screws with a long but thin Philips screwdriver in the G25 gearbox itself. Only then can the gearbox be properly positioned on the shift holder. It’s a minor inconvenience, but now the gearbox is hard mounted and won’t slide off during intense racing sessions. 6) A bit expensive but at this price range it’s worth it. Too bad I didn’t get this on sale but then apparently I got the last seat in stock! 7) Velcro and tie straps are included for good wire management if you are going to stick to one wheel consistently and occasionally change to the next wheel. Cons: 1) Assembling took longer than expected (about 90 minutes in total) due to the instructions not being specific on the first critical step. The four black Allen crews should be taken out and the plates P1 and P2 should be inserted, but when the Allen screws are screwed back in, you should leave enough play in the plates so they can move back and forth to accommodate the cross bar. This was probably the most frustrating and time consuming part and of the assembly. Everything after that wasn’t too bad. 2) Paint scratches easily and will show markings of where the hand bolts attach – it’s a minor cosmetic flaw and won’t affect the construction and durability of the frame itself. 3) Gearshift holder doesn’t move up or down, but good thing my arms aren’t too long or short; it works fine for me. 4) In the interests of keeping the wheel set to the frame as stable as possible, switching from the G25 to the Xbox wheel does take planning ahead and by the time the old wheel’s cables and accessories are dismantled and the new one put in place, you’re looking at a good 20-30 minutes of assembly time for the wheel. All in all a great product at this price range with minor flaws. 4 out of 5...
